Judge Andrew Napalatono and me

I was at the Liber-Tea party in Columbus Ohio on Aug 1 200 and we were waiting for the main speaker and look who came and sat down next to me.

The house I grew up in.

Wow what a change from when I lived there. My family moved into this house when I was 3 years old and it was not a new house then. This house was originally a one story house and the part that is upstairs was the house I lived in. The family that bought it raised the whole house up on jacks and then poured a concrete slab and build the first floor. When that was ready they lowered the part that had been lifted up and sat it on top of the new part. The upstairs porch was our front porch and the door that comes out on the upstairs deck was our front door. The window to the left of the front door was my corner bedroom. This house is in El Jardin Del Mar and it is one block from Galveston bay. The street behind this house faces the bay and I could see the water from our back porch. It is in a great location as all the Hurricanes that have come into Galveston bay it has never been harmed, other than a few shingles off the roof. This is really amazing as storms have hit a few blocks south and a few blocks north and have wiped out all those homes and this neighborhood still survives.

Ornaments knitted for Jennys Tree

These two were knitted while I was in Texas. I place the diamond and ruby ring on the white one and hid it on the tree for Jenny for Christmas.

Secret of the Stole III Finished Oct 12 2007 at 1:57 PM

Here is a picture taken outside before blocking. The two others are on the basement floor blocking. It looks very pretty and I had a lot of fun knitting this. I can hardly wait to see what the Nautical Knitter will come up with next.

Hint 8 finished!

I just finished Hint 8 of the Secret of the Stole III. I got it done before work on Oct 8 2008. I love knitting this and the knit picks yarn is great. It is Gloss lace weight in Celery green with beads. Of course the color doesn't look right and the beads don't show. It looks really nice in person thought.
